Resolved Question: Why doesnt china have a BBB?

Ive been an online reseller since 2005 and to make a decent profit it's no secret that finding resources that offer the best price will earn you a bigger profit. Obviously to receive best prices you go straignt to the manufacturing co's which everything seems to be made in china. So in my search for the resources that provide prices low enough to make a profit worth selling my search led me to china. Personally I look for furniture & home decor. along wtih jewelry and accessories but no matter what it is, the best prices can be found there BUT is it just me or do a lot of chinese business owners receive away with ripping us off? By us I mean customers from other countries accept china but ive noticed esp custs from the US. Like on b to b networking sites to find resources, every the fraud reported is usually by an american reporting they were ripped off by a merchant from china. So why do they keep letting it happen and why isnt there anyone doing anything it? In the US the cust is always right even when they are wrong & its easier for a cust to commt fraud rather than the merchants and merchants that attempt doing bad biz close down faster than they opened. It never takes long for action to be taken against a buisness owner here so why isnt there a place like the bbb to monitor the way they do business??

Resolved Question: I think my wife is bipolar and it is causing us to get divorced?

I believe my wife is bipolar. We have been married for 5 years and together for 11. She was previously married and left her husband for me. In the course of 11 years this is the third time she has left me. Seems to occur every 5 years. Now I know I havent been perfect but currently I am willing to do WHATEVER to keep my marriage. We have a child together and she has a son from a previous marriage who i have basically raised because his dad isnt around. Her previous husband was abusive and now she has rekindled her "friendship" with him. We are currently seperated. I am in the mortgage biz and have taken a huge hit in income due to the economy. We lost the home. Now she has filed for divorce. I have always suported my family and even went through our life saving due to this current circumstance. When she got her possess place I paid her rent so she didnt have to stress about it. This while I was living with a pal. I have always thought of my family first but she has refused to contribute to any of the bills eventhough she is working. I suspect she is involved with someone else eventhough she denies it. No matter what I say or do it is wrong. I try to help her and she gets mad. I say nice things to her and she receive mad. Her anger is out of control. I adore her more than anything but what can I do? This has been going on for 2 years and has been a rollercoaster of "I adore you " to "I am done". I have decided to leave her alone but I dont want to end my marriage. I did not receive married to receive divorced and in fact I am opposed to divorce except for extreme circumstances. Her family and friends agree that something is wrong with her but are unwilling to do anything because they are afraid they are going to lose her friendship. Please any advice. I cant snooze or think about anything else but saving my marriage. I dont want my son to grow up in a broken home.

Why are there so many celebrity haters? I mean hating someone for dumb biased ignorant reasons. Especially music artists. I don't want to sound like a crack driven hippie but why can't ppl just live in peace? These internet trolls seem to dedicate their whole lives to spreading deep pure HATRED against someone they don't even know. NOTE: When i mean haters that doesn't necessarily mean you are jealous of them directly. Another definition just means you are a negative mean-spirited person who just hates hates hates every day... I'm just wondering to know if there is some study that explains why on earth do trolls hate on celebrities so much for no reason. And when they claim to have a reason it's sounds like a 1rst grade level response. What did public figures ever do to people? Is it there fault some ppl -can't pay there mortgage -have low self esteem -lost their home -hate their job -are needy -lost their job -have a death in the family -can't afford "nice" things -are ignored in their school or workplace -etc... Especially music artists like Lady Gaga. LMAO what did she do to hurt people? Hasn't anyone been baffled by people doubting her talent? This crazy chick has been classically trained in the piano since she was a TODDLER! Before she started a singing career she was just simply songwriting for other artists(that's how some singers start off). She is intelligent with marketing her music! That's talent! Its difficult getting into the music biz! You have to be smart and have a plan and set your goals! Most importantly, you have to be DECISIVE in marketing your music! One applicant, who had eight weeks to go until his state unemployment benefits ran out, asked for a deferred start date. "It's like, you've got to be kidding me," Pompeo said. "It's frustrating. It's honestly something I've never seen before. They say, 'Oh, OK,' like I surprised them by offering them a job." Some job applicants are asking to be paid in cash so they can collect unemployment illegally, said Gayle Younglove, vice president at Outdoor Experts Inc. in Romulus. "Unfortunately, we feel the economy is promoting more and more people and companies to play the system and receive paid or collect cash money so they don't have to pay taxes," Younglove said. $12-per-hour jobs A person becomes ineligible for benefits if he or she fails to accept suitable work, said Stephen Geskey, director of Michigan's Unemployment Insurance Agency. The average landscape worker earns about $12 per hour, according to the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth. A full-time landscaping employee would make $225 more a week working than from an unemployment check of $255. Voting Question: Removing couch dye stain from white polyester UFC shirt?

Ok, I fell asleep next to my pal on this reddish, maroon, colored sofa and when I got home the entire back of the polyester shirt was full of these maroon streaks. Resolved Question: Should I tolerate this anymore?

I have been married 5 years have a 4 yr old. A little over a year ago we moved in with my in laws to keep money while the wife finishes nursing school. Anyway, my sister in law dated one of my best friends and they eventually broke up... but they continued to talk AND battle. And because my sister in law also lives with us I got caught up in this crap. My dad in law eventually threatened my pal and told him never to call our home because he didn't want his daughter bothered - but she is 29 yrs old!!!! None of his biz given that there was no violence or threat of violence. Now the Lakers are about to play and I can't have my buddy over for the game, drinks and so on. We plan to go to a bar in a few minutes but I just feel like this nice of crap has gone too far. I'm tip towing around here like a little kid (I'm 31) and I do not live here for free. In fact, I pay rent and every the other bills I ever paid with the exception of utilities and food - there is no damn benefit to living here. I'm so pissed at myself for allowing this to happen, what a dumb idea this was. And I still have a year more to go. I can't stand other people controlling my life and space... this is BS. This is an addition to having them control our son, and my wife supporting whatever the hell they say. I bite my tongue out of respect, but this is pure trash. Ok, rant done. Is it reasonable to ask my wife to receive our possess place again even if we have to take on more debt? I don't know if I can do another year of this none sense. We every moved into the same home at the same time so this is "our" home.

Resolved Question: Anyone sick of Twilight and their fame?

Last year at the 2009 MTV movie awards, Twilight took home 5 awards that night, not to mention Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart sharing a not so successful kiss (in which of course Kristen Stewart didn't let him kiss her) Now this year at the 2010 MTV movie awards, the Twilight cast one even more awards ( I believe the same from last year) They were nominated for best female performance, best male performance, best kiss, best movie etc Other actors/actresses were nominated for those roles as well. Doesn't it feel like Twilight is stealing every the spotlight from people that have been in show biz longer than Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner and have done way better movies. Yeah I know folks like shiny vampires and hot werewolves, but it's been done before? What makes Stephenie Meyer's cliche vampire/werewolf and human adore story different from others work? I'm not trying to bash or rant, because I like reading about vampires too, but isn't everyone sick of hearing about Twilight..I am and I really used to like it. Twilight was never popular as a book since it's publication release in 2005 (people barely knew about it) but let it be turned into a hit movie (that wasn't even every that good) and people go ape sh!t over it!!!! Wow, that just proves some people can actually appreciate crappy work. It should have just stayed a book in my opinion.

The person who accused me is an car thief… here’s the scary part before this happened I kept getting calls drop this case or you’re going to jail etc usual threats I receive in my biz. But I noticed I a few months before hand that I was being followed by cars and by police helicopters ….. I was below 24/7 surveillance. I need to know what agency would have this nice of money to do this? and how to make it cease? I go jogging and a sheriff helicopter will follow me, at night I have choppers that post, I’ve worked with gang units for 15 years and they said wtf did you do wrong … they don’t bring this nice of surveillance out for anyone. I mean I was at the gang unit trailer at a meeting and the place was surrounded. I literally receive followed by 4-8 police, or sheriff helicopters and these crazy remote one’s….. my friends from gang unit said some are remote. Resolved Question: Boyfriend won't tell his parents about me! Please read complicated scenario!?

Together for 10 months, (seriously for 8 months, look each other daily, talk about future, say "I adore you", etc.) A bit unconventional: I'm 35, he's 24, met as business acquaintances, things progressed from there. He's developed a good relationship w/ my 2 kids. I've met his oldest brother, a few of his close friends & his employees. He's currently living @ home w/ his parents, (due to his dad's needy health to help out & because it helps my B/F financially. His biz isn't producing as much income as it once did -current economy.) He's never introduced me to his parents, or even told them about me. Says his dad would like me & be glad for us. Says his mom rules the roost, wouldn't approve & would cause problems. If B/F's not home by around 11 pm during the week, his mom calls, questions, & tells him to arrive home. Same for weekends, except her call comes a little later. B/F used to stay overnight w/ me the 8 nights a month that my kids are away visiting their dad. Now, he stays only 2 of those nights a month, says he's stopped staying over so much because his parents question where he's been. Other than this issue, he makes me glad. I can't introduce him to my parents, their sadly, deceased. But I've told my brother who lives out of state every about him and introduced him to what extended family that I can that reside locally. Tried to be patient, but it's really starting to bother me that he's "hiding" me from his parents. Understand he's below their roof, should be respectful, but @ age 24, I don't think he should have to explain his every move to them. I also think if he is really serious about our relationship, he'd be willing to stand up & say "this is the lady I adore, end of story!" Don't wanna waste my time. adore him, my kids adore him, & I know he loves us, but our relationship cannot grow until this is resolved. Hi there! I am currently kicking myself...I've REALLY made a mess of my finances and record-keeping. look, I'm over 18, and yet this is the first time I've ever tried doing my taxes myself. in the past it's been 95% my dad doing the work, 5% me running around, confused, trying to find forms he says I need and that I don't remember getting but must have put...somewhere. Now, I highly doubt I'll ever meet any of you in person, so your opinions really shouldn't matter, but before I go into this next part I feel compelled to just add here that i am NOT an idiot...well...not usually. ;) When it comes to finances, though, I'm finding that general rule of thumb just doesn't apply. So here's the story. I've always been pretty entrepreneurial, doing some freelance writing, ebay selling, babysitting, event planning, stuff like that. For 2009, though, my primary income, in addition to waitressing, was 1) babysitting and 2) advertising/marketing writing--to be specific, working on commission to sell stuff for folks. I kept TERRIBLE records (i.e. none), not because I was trying to be dishonest or piss of the IRS, but because I just didn't think about it. So you can imagine what a disaster my trying to file this year has been! The only good records were from the waitressing job--about $8k--which has been the majority of my income. Other tax form areas I saw and for which I REALLY wished I had better info: medical expenses and charity. If I'd kept better records for both, I think taxes could have been SIGNIFICANTLY less than they turned out to be (about $1k total (federal and state), but even more--about $1400--before I fix the mistake i made when sending in the first return. I think this is called an amendment...will this increase my chances of an audit?) I also found out I'm supposed to pay quarterly estimated taxes, which I will start doing as soon as i receive the mistake straightened out. So here's my basic question. Starting now through the end of the year (and beyond, of course:)), I plan on keeping very good records. I'll be keeping track of: 1) medical expenses 2) charity work/donations For these I'm confused about several things. First, the standard deduction? I heard I should usually take this for medical and charity, and that medical has to be at least 7.5% of income to qualify (which mine always is). Then there's the ever-intimidating: 3) Business finances. As I understand it, I am considered to "possess" two different businesses. One is babysitting (which I do in the family's home), the other, "advertising/marketing services." For babysitting, the kids live a quarter mile from me, so I'm not planning on trying to figure out deductions related to driving. what I'm planning to do in for this is just record each time I receive paid (day and amount), and my expenses (almost every of which are me buying stuff for the kids during the day--the parents reimburse me for those when I receive paid, so I'll just make a note of them.) For the writing/advertising, though, it gets a bit more complicated. Sometimes I take on big projects for folks who are losing their homes and need everything out by a specific date. For instance, last month I did a 3 1/2-week job for a guy who owned a four-bedroom home, everything still inside. I coordinated estate sales, private sales, listed stuff on craigslist and in different forums, etc. The guy lived almost 30 miles away, and I was constantly driving back and forth to meet potential buyers. On several occasions I also had to hire folks to help with the sales when I couldn't be there at a specific time. There were lots of miscellanious expenses, etc. and some people we even paid in "stuff." What I'm planning to do for this second biz from now on is to record each time a sale is made, what my commission is (if it's not something I bought to re-sell), and what my expenses are. I'll also try to log mileage as it occurs. As for other deductions, I think it might be a good idea to just leave those alone, because almost everything I use for my business (computer, car, etc.) is also for personal use. So that whole "home office" deduction would definitely not apply, because my "office" is the computer in my bedroom (and I don't pay rent), and my "inventory," when I'm buying and re-selling rather than just working on commission, is just piles of whatever stuff it is I'm marketing. When it comes time to file those 2010 taxes, is this going to be pretty much the majority of what I'll need? Other than the w-2 from my waitressing job and the (miniscule) statement from my stock shares, have I covered everything I'll need? and if not, what else should I be aware of? I want to make sure NOTHING like this EVER happens again!!! Thank you so much for any input you can provide!

Voting Question: What to do after talking and being patient doesn't work?

We have known each other half our lives. Always had a special friendship but non sexual. Been together for 3.5 years and lived together for just about 2. He asked me to move in and told me about a year after that he loved me. However that was only after I was going to break it off. I have had multiple non argumentative discussions about what I need and what he needs from our relationship. I have been patient and tried to guide by example for the last year. I have worked difficult to "tone down" my need for physical affection and sex. I've been trying to show him how I want to be shown affection and asking (begging most often) for it in return. Just this week I was talking to a group of friends at his business and he started bragging about a good looking client he saw that morning and how he got to steer her home in her possess car. From the sound of the nickname they called her I think her "hotness" has been discussed before. They were impressed but I felt hurt. I am very very rarely told I look nice (usually only when I drag it out of him) and to hear that just hurt right to the core. He shows our dog more affection and cuddles with her 20 times more often than with me. We have a sporadic sex life. Sometimes a few times a week and then not for 3 weeks. I look him only in the early am when he's half awake and when he comes home exhausted from his business. (self employed tiny biz man). I never receive a hug if I don't go receive it or ask for one. I initiate sex 95% of the time and then it's much like trying to make adore to a blow up doll. He doesn't really even touch me DURING SEX!!! After he rolls over and has a pissed off look on his face. I feel like he is just humoring me so I won't be upset that he doesn't want me. Now that's a real turn on!!! Makes you feel so good inside! (I'm being sarcastic) Most of the time he doesn't really hear to my response even though he asks how my day went. I am a chatty person and even when he asks me a question I feel he just tunes out the answer. He has even mocked me in front of his friends about it. I am a good looking, in shape, successful 30 something with no kids and a good job. I don't nag him or receive pissy or pushy except on a rare occasion. I am sleepy of feeling like an obligation. Like I'm "one more thing" he needs to take care of. His friends every think I'm the perfect lady. I never call and ask when he's coming home, I encourage his "boy time" with his friends, and I never whine at him. They are every jealous and want to know if I have friends or sisters like me. So what is wrong with showing me some affection liked I asked for a year ago? I have kept my end of our discussion. How many times do we need to talk about this? Am I wasting time, energy and breath? I was thinking this was the man I would be with for the relax of my life. I refuse to receive married again and he is fine with that. Also fine with me not having kids or able to have kids. How much more can I give? Do I just learn to live without something so important to me or do I leave and loose probably one of the best friends I ever had? Someone have any idea???? How do I make it cease hurting??

So it every started 8 months ago when i met this lady that happens to be 31 and took her to the club with me , ever since that night shes been going out every weeknd at least 2 times at week and doesnt receive home til 6am ,the problem is that shes married n shes been cheating on the husband so i cease going out with her as soon as i found out what she did, not just cuz she cheated on him but because i felt like she was using me cuz it wud always be me paying for gas and the drinks , now she has become friends w a 22 years old and they are going out like crazy , it gets to the point that they dont arrive home til 7am and one of my friends look her at the pharmacy getting the day after pill.....i feel really bad for the husband because hes a good guy , i tried to talk to her but she say to mind my possess biz , idk what to do beacuse my dad is very good friends with the guy and my boyfriend has been telling me to tell the guy maybe he willl open his eyes ....I feel like tis lady is a USER and likes to use people i dont know what to tell her anymore?? shud i tell the husband, should i talk to her ?? shud i tell her new pal how she really is ???
